Profit per equity partner (PEP) levels in regional law firms out-performed City firms, according to Crowe's Law Firm Benchmarking Survey 2019. The survey showed that while PEP levels in City firms remained static compared to last year, regional firms managed an average PEP growth of just under 2.5 per cent. More than one-third of firms suffered a fall in their total profit pool this year, with both city and regional firms impacted equally. Two-thirds of all firms increased headcount and a similar number looked into increasing remote, agile and virtual working. 12 Sep 2019
